I Was Tiny Tim’s Driver For a Day

I ripped off writer Dinty Moore’s idea of writing a story in google maps (I don’t know if he was the first to do this or not) to tell the true story the day in 1993 that I spent with with Tiny Tim. Click on each place marker to read the story.

  1. I wholeheartedly agree! Inventive and I really felt the rush of the day. You confirmed what I always expected that Tiny Tim was a weird, but lovely man. PLUS, my daughter lives in Arlington and I’ve never been to the east coast so you helped me have a sense of where my “baby” lives. I really LOVED this approach!

  2. Love this! As your boss (the person who hired you to drive Tiny around), I remember it raining the morning of the event (and all day). Tiny did the pre-event publicity on the Georgetown waterfront and sang about the joy of staying home on rainy days- when we needed people to come out despite the weather (Thanks, Tiny). And you telling me that at Red, Hot, Blue he was a “babe magnet.”Who knew?
